Ever heard of the legend of the Crying Lady? What about that mysterious girl on the side of the road that just suddenly disappears? Or how about those figures in the mist and mysterious marks on graves? Well, they had to come from somewhere didn't they?
Let's go to a town deep in the heart of the Ozarks. Barely a dot on the Arkansas map, Juniper Springs isn't known for much in the way of entertainment. The town has been established for nearly two hundred years, and they have the landmarks to prove it. That's not to mention the families of "old blood" who can tace their ancestors back to the founders of Juniper. Unlike the rest of the country, the citizens of Juniper are still bound by the class system. That is to say, the social distinctions are still clearly defined. This is perhaps part of the reason Juniper hasn't grown as much in population. New people come and they go with the seasons. The old families still remain the constantm at least until now...
A newpaper in Little Rock recently published an article about Juniper. Doesn't sound to bad, right? Except this newspaper wasn't just any newspaper, it was a paranormal newspaper and the article was about all the urban legends surrounding Juniper. The old families, who are the true backbone of the town, were not happy with this. It didn't help when a group of paranormal investigators showed up..and stayed. Not to mention a boom in tourism. To the eyes of Juniper's Elite, this spells danger for their little town. Indeed, almost everybody in town feels this way.
To complicate things, Juniper's Historical Society has butted heads with the paranormal investigators since day one. They want only the best for Juniper and her landmarks and view the investigators as over-caffienated sensationalists. The investigators think the Historical Society is nothing but a bunch of pretentious dust-lovers. With all of this controvery broiling, not to mention the possibility of true paranormal activity, who knows what can happen?
The scene has been set, now it's up to you.
