Jimmy winced and grabbed his arm as he fell from his skateboard. He knew he'd broken it, knowing his luck, he probably had done, but instead of crying and heading for the medical room like a little baby, Jimmy got up and started to skate once more. Again and again he fell, but still he wouldn't go. It was on his fifth fall that he really knew he had to go. Looking at his arm, Jimmy saw the bone protuding from his cream skin colouring and the blood dribbling down. The bile rose in his throat.
He rushed to the medical room and sat down, skateboard on the floor and his feet resting on it, his unbroken arm holding the other. Quickly, Jimmy brushed his long black hair from his eyes and felt something warm and slippery on his cheek, probably blood, he guessed. Looking at his hand, he saw that it was blood, making him correct.
After a few more minutes, Jimmy began to get bored, shouldn't they know when someone comes in? He asked himself. Not knowing the answer, he shrugged and looked at the multi-coloured magazines on the coffee table, becoming even more bored by the minute. [/blockquote]

Kit stuck her head around the med room door, squinting at the reflective surfaces to see if anyone was in there. A glance around the reflective surfaces in the room proved it to be empty of any one of some official standing. This was odd seeing as there was a blood soaked man with a very obviously broken arm sat down as if he was bored. Sometimes this place didn’t cease to amaze her. Due to her lack of shoes, walking across the floor silently was distinctly easy when you don’t wear shoes, and when you knew exactly where you were going.
She made her way to a draw past the room where the guy was sat, slipping her hand n and grabbing a few pockets of oxycodine and slipping them in to her sock. Stuff was great, no one ever noticed it was gone as it so abundant in powdered form. Sighing lightly, it was a little too easy and now she was bored again, she’d pretty much forgot the guy was there until then before heading back into the room where he was. Deciding that he might prove more interesting than staring a t a wall.
When she got to him she gave him a quick once over with her head tilted to one side, looking pretty uninterested at him. ”That’s a pretty nasty break. Why’d you go and do that to yourself?” Her accent came out pretty thick, and with more than a little sarcasm in it.

Jimmy looked up from the magazines as a girl walked in, she was pretty and her long hair was beautiful. Her eyes were dark and judgemental as she rifled through a drawer nearby, eventually, she stopped and pulled out some packets which she stuffed into her sock. he was used to things like this now, so he didn't turn a hair. All he did was look back at th magazines like they were interesting and tried to make out some of the white writing on them. Jimmy rolled his eyes as one of them said 'men; sex slaves?' Really, he thought, they should get different magazines for the medical room, instead of some worthless 'real life' shit, they should get medical magazines.
He almost jumped as the girl spoke. 'That’s a pretty nasty break. Why’d you go and do that to yourself?' Jimmy sighed and glanced back over to her. As before she looked incredible, but he woud never let her know that. "Skateboarding." Was all he said, all he could say, too. He felt as though he'd better introduce himself, but he chose not to. She would know anyway, he thought, if she had been here any amount of days. [/blockquote]

Kit twisted around and jumped onto the ledge opposite him as he spoke; she made what probably would have been quite a difficult jump look ridiculously easy before crossing her feet at the ankles. Getting past his arm, the rest of him didn’t look to bad, barring the covered in blood thing he currently had going on. She took in pretty much more than one scrape, band or broken arm. ”Skateboarding… Did you fall down a few flights of stairs too?”
She leaned over and grabbed a wash cloth, dousing it in warm water until it was soaked, twisting it in her hands to dispel the excess water. When she was done she folded it up neatly, and then tossed it at the guy. Angling it for it to land on the bed of the side of his good arm. What could she say – she was in a good mood for a change. Probably the first good mood she’d had since she’d got here, well seeing how that was not that long ago and she had spent most of that time in bed – it wasn’t really a good timescale. But thinking further on that would purely give her a headache.

Jimmy looked down at his board, him and that piece of wood had been through a lot. Like the time he tired to kill himself by skating off his old school building, but he didn't go through with it. Or the time that he skated down the railway line and almost got himself killed. There were so many times he'd done stupid things on there, it was almost as if it was part of his life. Stupid, he knew, but still, he would never get rid of it, not ever.
He looked at the girl as she spoke. 'Skateboarding… Did you fall down a few flights of stairs too?' Jimmy could see her sarcasm, but that didn't do anything for him, sure, it was humor on a different level, but he still hated it. "No. I just fell off..a lot." He shrugged as he said it, trying to make her believe that it happened to him everyday, when really, it had never happened before as he'd never broken any bone in his body. But, as he kept on reminding himself, there was a first time for everything. [/blockquote]

Kit raised her eyebrow and stared at him for a few seconds before shaking her head slightly. “You know, most normal people stop when they’ve fallen of once.” jumping down from the ledge she had perched on and stepped to where she had passed him the cloth he had decided to disregard entirely. She offered a slight smile before picking it up, ”At least if it had been me, I’d of fallen off after about 3 seconds of getting on.” For the last part she’d even managed to remove the sarcasm from her voice. Which for Kit, was nothing short of a miracle.
She picked up the cloth and made sure it was folded loosely, passing it to his good hand and waiting for him to take it. The nurse didn’t seem inclined to arrive just yet which was odd, they were always here when you didn’t need them. The one time you needed them – Nada. She just didn’t want to see the poor guy get an infection, the break was bad enough. Infections were enough to drive even a sane person crazy and she wouldn’t wish one on her worst enemy even.
