Juno woke up and stretched her arms. Her stomach rumbled, and she shushed it, yawning and sitting up, looking around her excuse of a room. Her room mate currently wasn't here, probably out getting drunk somewhere or something, Juno didn't care. Sighing, she figured she better make an effort and get out of bed. Lazing around all day would make her look like a sloth or something, and that couldn't happen.
She pulled out some underwear, a black bra and a matching pair of boxers, put them on, and stood, lookng at her clothes, deciding what to wear. She settled on a white tank top, with New Found Glory written across it, and a pair if grey jeans. She looked in the mirror she'd managed to secure, and pulled at her hair. It was already pretty straight, as she'd done it the night before. It looked decent enough, and so she left it. Grabbing her favourite bright blue eye shadow, she began her make up.
Ten minutes later, she opened the door to her room and left. The door didn't lock behind her, as the lock was broke, but it wasn't like she was allowed anything worth stealing. She never kept drugs in her room, instead, getting them from someone else. It made more sense that way, because she'd get in less trouble, and she'd still get a fix. Screw whoever else that got caught with drugs, that was their fault. And it wasn't like they'd get sent to prison or anything, because here was far worse.
Her stomach grumbled again as she walked past the cafeteria, smells of breakfast drifting out to greet her. 'Shut up,' she mumbled, poking her stomach. She'd be outside soon, where she could smoke, and then she wouldn't be hungry. She had to smoke outside, and hidden from the staff, because if they didn't know she smoked like a chimmney, she wouldn't get treatment to stop smoking. It made sense in her head, at least.
Stepping outside into the cool morning air she took a deep breath in and pulled a face. The grouds were pretty much empty, which was all the better in Juno's book. She stepped off the gravely path which led down to the front gates, permantly locked unless a new patient was being admitted, and onto the green grass, covered with morning dew. Glad she'd put converse on, and not flip flops, and set off around the side of the building.
There was an area behind the building that even the gardener avoided, so it was overgrown with grass, or so it appeared. Get through all the grass, and there was a small paved area. It's purpose unknown, Juno use it as a smoking area, and judging from the amount of cigarette butts on the groud, she wasn't the only one. None of the staff ever went there, and Juno doubted none of the staff truly cared enough to bother with the patients.
Nodding her head at one of the therapists, who was standing at the side of the building, stealing a quick cigarette break himself before his shift started, she carried on to the back. Pushing her way through the large grass, which stood high, almost as tall as her, she sighed happily as she reached at small, paved square.
Brushing away cigarette butts, she sat cross legged on the cold floor, and pulled out a box, full of cigarettes, and her lighter. Quickly, as her stomach grumbled again, she lit a cigarette and put it to her lips, taking a long drag. Breathing out, she smiled. This was the life, for her anyway.

and you're just a r i o t waiting to be h e a r d As soon as the daylight streamed through his dorm window, Jimmy woke up. His eyes squinted against the bright light, but after a few seconds, he could see clear enough to look around his dorm. His shoulders started to slump as he realised he had fallen asleep at his drawing table once again. Slowly, Jimmy turned around to see what he had been drawing the night before. His audible sigh probably would have been heard from next door as he saw what he'd been drawing. It was a large picture of his brother. Typical. Every time he tried to draw anyone, it was always his brother, Rodger.
Deciding not to sit there, even if the chair was scarily comfortable, Jimmy stood up and stretched. He moaned as the audible cracking of his spine split the stone cold silence around him. After his stretch session, Jimmy felt cold and shivered. Looking down, he realised he was only wearing his dark green boxers from yesterday. Knowing that he couldn't stay there all day, in his boxers and falling asleep on his drawing table, Jimmy opened his wardrobe and picked out any random t-shirt and jeans he could touch.
Quickly, Jimmy got changed and checked himself out in the mirror. Black, black and more black, he noticed. Sighing, to himself, he picked up his black eyeliner and started to put on his make-up.
After a good long look in the mirror, making sure everything was right, Jimmy sat on his bed, hurriedly shoving his feet into his shoes. He knew what the rush was; coffee. He needed it so bad this morning, it was like wildfire in his stomach.
Eventually, he checked he had his key in his trouser pocket and the packet of smokes that he liked to call 'cancer sticks', Jimmy made his way downstairs.
Walking past the cafeteria, Jimmy couldn't help himself. He dashed in and bought three cups of steaming hot coffee. Feeling quite smart with himself, he walked along slowly, not in a hurry any longer, taking a long sip from one of the plastic coffee cups.
After his second cup, Jimmy decided to go have a cancer stick. His smile couldn't get wiped from his face as he walked along the back of the main building, trying to find 'his' spot. Finally, after a good few minutes of sneaking around, making sure none of the staff saw him, Jimmy found it.
He'd always liked this secluded part of the grounds, the little patio area littered with cigarette buts, and the long grass surrounding it.
But today? Oh, he liked it even more. It had always been his escape, but just as he was walking up to it, Jimmy noticed a figure there. Honestly, he knew he couldn't be the only person using the place, by the hundreds of cigarette ends, but he never had really thought about it. As he got closer he noticed the girl to be Juno, his drinking buddy. Well, she wasn't really his buddy, just another person who he drank with.
Carefully, Jimmy put on a fake, plastered smile on his face and walked up to her. "Hey." He smiled his little fake smile and sat down cross legged on the patio, sitting his plastic cup next to him and pulling out a cancer stick. "Nothing like smokes, eh?" He usually was shy around people, being the black sheep and all, but he was always the talkative one with Juno for some reason. Silently, he took a sip of his coffee and afterwards, a long drag from his cancer stick, waiting for her reply. [/blockquote]

Juno took another long drag. She hadn't had a good smoke since, oh, about three o'clock that morning. Juno didn't believe in sleep, she could sleep when she was dead. She'd far rather party somewhere, and last night, leading into the early hours of this morning, had been no exception. Someone had managed to sneak in a hell of a lot of alcohol, and a fair amount of drugs too. Juno had a slight hangover, but was too used to hangovers and come downs to really notice. Cigarettes took the edge off, and she took another drag, feeling her hunger subside.
She rarely ate on a morning, practically never. She often skipped lunch too. And sometimes dinner. She didn't like the food they served here, and preferred to nibble on the junk food she smuggled in. Healthy food wasn't her thing at all, and she usually just didn't eat, instead, using cigarettes to stop herself from feeling hungry. Taking another drag, she smiled to herself. She hadn't eaten since yesterday lunch, and even then, she'd only had an apple, as they had negative calories. So it was all good.
Hearing someone coming over, she looked up to see who it was. Not concerned it would be staff, as none of the staff ventured out here, and even if it was a staff member, Juno hight doubted they'd care she was smoking, and, depending on who it was, they might possibly join her. But instead, it was a boy who pushed the grass apart and sat beside her, a cup of coffee and a cigarette in his hand.
Jimmy, the leader of the sloth gang. Juno didn't think she should have as much fun with him as she did, but it didn't matter, as they got on better drunk. The pair were still quite friendly when sober, but they still knew that they were rivals. 'Hey there stranger.' Juno smiled slightly, taking another drag before talking again. 'I missed you at the party last night. Too busy?' That wasn't exactly true. She noticed he wasn't there, but was quickly too high to miss anyone, even Jimmy, her party friend, though that didn't sound too good out loud.

and you're just a r i o t waiting to be h e a r d The taste of coffee on his tongue was pure heaven for Jimmy, and the taste of the nicotine from his lips wasn't far from it, either. He took another drag as Juno was talking, but as soon as she had said that she had missed him, Jimmy almost swallowed his cancer stick. It was bizarre, unreal, impossible for the gluttony leader to have missed him. In truth, Jimmy had actually had his own little party in his dorm, probably why he had drawn his brother and dozed off.
The more he thought about what Juno had said, the more worried he was about her. Missing him? What was she on? He thought to himself and almost instantly remembered she did drugs. Apparently, that was all the range now, well, Jimmy never was in the 'range' and he never would be, booze and cigarettes and coffee were good enough for him, although, a little coke wasn't so bad.
Jimmy took a sip of his coffee, the last drops falling into his greedy mouth. He almost screamed, after his cancer stick he'd have to buy a few more cups and smoke a few more cigarettes.
"Um..." After all of his thinking, Jimmy had almost forgotten exactly what Juno had said. Eventually he remembered, though, much to his dismay. "No. I had my own little party in my dorm." He nodded and finished off his cigarette, knowing full well he would be reaching for another with his nicotine stained fingertips in a few seconds. "So..." His curiosity was overwhelming him, so he decided to ask about the party. "Was it good?" [/blockquote]

Juno stifled a giggle as Jimmy practically choked himself when she said she missed him. He'd obviously taken her slightly more literately than she'd actually meant. It didn't matter, as his reaction had been worth an exaggeration. Jimmy seemed lost for words, and Juno couldn't help it, she laughed out loud. She wasn't exactly lying, parties were fun when Jimmy was there, and when Jimmy was drunk, they were even better. But really, missed was probably too strong a word. Jimmy didn't think that through befor he started choking.
So he'd had his own party and not invited Juno? Not that she cared, when he had his party, she would have been to drunk to tell one party from another. Jimmy's parties were parties of one, and that was probably the way he intended them to stay. Far be it from Juno to interupt that. He asked if the party had been good, and she took another drag, blowing the smoke out of her mouth, watching it rise above her, before she shrugged her small shoulders slightly.
'It was okay, I suppose. I was too high to care, to be honest. And too drunk. But what are you going to do? That's what parties are for.' Maybe not so much in a normal persons book, but Juno definitely believed parties were for drinking too much alocohol and getting far too high. It just wasn't that fun if you could actually remember all of it the next day, at least not to Juno. Then again, Juno didn't have that great of a memory anyway.
'How about yours?' Juno giggled again. She looked at Jimmy. He was wearing all black, and also had black hair. Original. Not. Though he was a depressive loser when he was sober, which explained that. Not that she had anything against depressive losers, they were just sort of...well, depressing, really. Jimmy certainly needed some cheering up from time to time. And they were all in Franklin High together, unfortunately.

and you're just a r i o t waiting to be h e a r d Jimmy's face took on a disgusted look as Juno laughed at him, he felt annoyed, but saddened at the same time. Suddenly, he realised that she had gotten his hopes up. Normally, Jimmy would have just shrugged people like her off, considering she was the female gluttony leader, but for some reason, he just couldn't and that infuriated him more than anything else in this stupid place.
He knew she wasn't actually laughing at him, but for some reason, he just couldn't show her that. Jimmy guessed it was something about power, and just left his mind to sort it out, instead of getting himself twisted in mental knots. Sighing to himself, he just let go, he stopped caring about Juno and decided to take another cancer stick from it's packet.
Lifting the cigarette out of the packet was the easy job, but lighting it wasn't. For a start, he had to get the lighter out of his tight jean pocket, and normally he had a struggle when he was standing up. Rolling his eyes at himself for picking the tightest pair of jeans he owned, Jimmy stood up and routed around his pocket. Eventually his fingertips touched his lighter and he pulled it out.
He sat back down and lit up his cancer stick, loving how he blew the smoke out from his lips. Jimmy was about to answer Juno when his phone buzzed in his pocket. "Um, sorry." Jimmy pulled out his phone and realised his brother was calling him for some unknown reason and flipped it up. "Hello?" He asked. Obviously something was either wrong or Rodger was drunk, again. Judging by the silent tone as he put the phone to his ear, it was the second one. "Go back to bed, Rodger." Jimmy snarled into the phone and flipped it back down. He never knew why he lost his temper when Rodger called him, but he had a pretty good idea it was just the fact that he knew that Jimmy would be having a cancer stick around about now, and Rodger seemed to ignore that.
"Well," Jimmy sighed and took a drag of his cigarette as he sat down on the patio. "That was my twin, he's such an arsehole." He laughed, but it wasn't a light, happy laugh. Oh no. Jimmy's laugh was as dark as night and as morbid as a black, death metal band. "Sorry. I've forgot what you were saying." He chuckled softly and concentrated on the cancer stick, waiting for Juno to speak. [/blockquote]

Juno looked confused for a second, but soon took the look of her face and her smile slipped back. Jimmy looked annoyed, and Juno couldn't think why. Was it something she'd said? She mentally shrugged her shoulders, pushing the though away. She hadn't said anything to offend Jimmy, and if she had, well he could suck it up. He was supposed to be the sloth leader, after all. Leaders had to brush things off.
He got another cigarette out, and then came the battle for the lighter. She had noticed he was wearing skinny jeans, which weren't the best jeans when it came to getting things out of the pockets. Juno, wanting to watch, didn't offer him the lighter in her hands. Instead, she smiled, holding in a laugh, as she watched him struggle, and eventually, give in and stand up to fish the lighter out.
Juno giggled again as Jimmy's phone rang, and took a drag while he was busy. Unable to help herself, Juno listened to what Jimmy was saying down his mobile. He said hello, and Juno wasn't sure anyone said hello back. Then, Jimmy told whoever was on the other end of the phone, Rodger, Juno heard, to go back to bed. Whatever that meant. Slightly odd, but then again, the people in here weren't exactly normal, and Jimmy certainly wasn't.
In offer of explanation, Jimmy said it was his brother. Juno assumed it was a sibling thing and didn't bother asking. Sure, Juno had a sister, Amele, but Amele was three. Juno hadn't been the best sister in the world, and actually didn't know Amele at all. With a pang, she realised she didn't know what she looked like. When Juno lived at home, she had spent as much time as possible out of the house, drunk, or high. Amele was hidden away from Juno, as her parents obviously thought Juno to be a bad influence, and Amele would be the good daughter, the one that didn't go off the rails. Juno wasn't in a position to argue.
'Oh, it doesn't matter.' Juno rolled her eyes in Jimmy's direction. Trust him, one minor distraction and his mind blanked. Typical sloth. Shaking her head, she put the cigarette back to her lips and took a deep breath. She was glad the staff didn't care about smoking patients, and Juno didn't think she'd ever be able to give up. She liked it too much, though she couldn't describe what it was she liked, or why she liked it.
'Moving on from parties, how are you today?' She hoped he'd be original and not say 'depressed.'

and you're just a r i o t waiting to be h e a r d He took another drag of his cancer stick and noticed Juno rolling her eyes at him, it was quickly done but he noticed all the same. Feeling that it would be wrong to hurt or upset her, Jimmy just pretended not to notice and carried on fiddling with the empty coffee cup standing on the patio slabs. Thinking about it, Jimmy never really knew why he was so obsessed with the drink, it was strong in taste, well, the coffee he got was anyway, and it smelled gorgeous, but being obsessed with it? When he thought about it properly, Jimmy realised it was slightly weird. But, as the kids in his old high school used to say with such innocence, 'Jimmy, you're a weirdo and don't forget that.' So, really, he couldn't help being weird.
Sighing at himself, Jimmy took a drag and focused on Juno. Currently, she was saying something with little interest to himself, but he listened all the same. "... doesn't matter." He nodded and watched her encase she were to speak again. She did after a while and Jimmy had to bite his lip to stop himself from smiling. It wasn't like he didn't know why he was smiling, either. Suddenly, Jimmy didn't want to bite his lip to stop smiling, he looked quickly away and smiled at the wall. It was just as if Juno cared about him, but he didn't want to get his hopes up, so, as usual, he shut up about his feelings. "How am I?" He shrugged. "I'm okay, I've been better, been worse. You?" Juno nodded her head, taking a drag. 'That's the best way to be. Not too good, not too bad. Nice and in the middle. I'm okay, coming down and a bit hungover, but I'm used to that by now.' It was true, she was so used to come downs she barely noticed them, and hangovers were easily ignored. Cigarettes usually helped, and Juno was a nicotine addict. Just another addiction to add to her list.
Juno uncrossed her legs, and pulled her knees up towards her chin, though she didn't rest her head on her knees, instead, she sat up as straight as her position would allow her, and took another drag. Her nails were painted black, and were bitten so there was barely any nail left. She placed a nail in her motuh and chewed it a little. It wasn't that she was nervous, it was just a habit. She smiled into her finger as she realised she was addicted to biting her nails.
She felt the silence had gone on long enough. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence, Juno just didn't like too much silence. She wasn't a quiet person. She sighed, and placed her chin neatly on her knees, unable to think of anything to say. She didn't really know what to say to Jimmy, as she usually spoke to him when she was drunk, off her head, or, more often than not, both. It was easier to talk to people, especially people like Jimmy, when both people were drunk. That way, you could say something wrong, and the other person wouldn't remember. Sober however, that didn't work.
Juno slapped herself mentally as she realised she didn't want to say something wrong and offend, or hurt Jimmy. She shouldn't care. To be honest, she didn't really, truly care about his feelings, as such. More the fact that she didn't feel like dealing with depressive shit right now. Or any other time, to be exact. It wasn't her style. 'So...whatever, yeah.' The words came out before Juno planned them, and she hoped Jimmy would pick up on it and think of something to say. If not, the silence would carry on, only possibly turn awkward.

and you're just a r i o t waiting to be h e a r d Jimmy rearranged how he was sitting as Juno spoke, normally he would have stayed completely still and actually listened to what she had to say, unless it pissed him off. Not that it was hard to piss Jimmy Ahern off, but that was besides the point. Slowly, he moved to side to side, trying to get comfortable on the hard stone blocks digging into his butt. Eventually, he did so, but it took him more than a few minutes, and in the process, he hadn't listened to what Juno had said.
He half felt like asking her to repeat it, but he'd make himself look like a fool, and maybe, just maybe, if Juno was angry at him for not listening, she wouldn't talk to him again. Quickly Jimmy shook those thoughts out of his mind, he knew it wasn't himself talking, it was the depression and paranoia. Good old Jimmy would never think those things, well, he hoped not.
There was an uneasy silence for a few minutes but Juno broke it. It seemed the gluttony leader didn't like silences, whilst Jimmy did, it let people mull over their thoughts and think about things that could help conversations and whatnot. "Um, yeah..." He looked down and fiddled with the plastic coffee cup for a while, for some reason, he didn't know what exactly, but Juno just made him feel nervous. Jimmy didn't know if it was because she was another leader and he was trying to set an example of his 'clan' or maybe the fact that she was really his only friend in this place other than his twin who constantly got drunk and bothered the hell out of him.
Sighing, Jimmy guessed he'd better talk, even though he was so nervous it felt as though he was going to be sick. "So, what interests have you got? Other than getting high and drunk, I mean." Jimmy instantly felt the need to correct himself, but didn't, wanting to know what Juno's reaction would be. [/blockquote]

Juno laughed out loud at Jimmy's question. He certainly had a set image of her, one she didn't disagree with. Certainly a bold statement from a sloth, but he was supposed to be the leader, so he should at least have a bit of spirit in him. Still smiling, she looked at him. 'Got me down to a tee there, I must say.'
Taking another puff of her cigarette, she debated her answer. What should she tell Jimmy? Sure, she had interests, plenty of them, but none she was sure Jimmy would want to hear about, except music. Though Juno supposed he liked music, the depressed stereotype said it was so, just like the druggie stereotype dictated Juno should be drunk all the time, and high all the time. Smiling to herself, she decided on music.
'Music. I sing. And not just when I'm drunk either. Bands, I like some. You know, musical stuff like that. You aren't one of those weirdos who doesn't like music, are you?' Juno felt the need to add the extra bit on the end as, if she was being honest, Jimmy was a weirdo. She wasn't normal herself, but Jimmy was more of a depressing weird than anything else. Though she wouldn't say that out loud. Not to his face, anyway. 'Maybe I sing better drunk, I don't know.' She shrugged.
'What about you? What are you into at the minute?' If Juno thought about it, she was actally curious, and wanted to know. What was Jimmy into? She'd never asked before, never bothered to find out. A bit rude, but it didn't matter much. Not to Juno anyway, and Jimmy wasn't going to find out.

and you're just a r i o t waiting to be h e a r d Jimmy allowed himself to smile meekly as Juno laughed at his statement. Normally, he just didn't smile, so he hoped she would at least notice or even comment on it, but he tried not to get his hopes up far, as he knew she wouldn't. "Yup. I know I have." He nodded and looked down at his coffee cup once more. It was starting to annoy him that he'd drank the contents to quickly, but he let it go.
He nodded as Juno explained she liked bands and singing. The singing bit surprised him, but he didn't show it, sloths learned not to show happy or excited emotions when they arrived here and Jimmy, being the leader, wasn't going to brake the rules. "Singing, eh?" Sure, he could show some kind of interest, that wasn't braking the rules. He almost laughed as she asked if he was 'one of those weirdos who didn't like music.' "No, I'm not that type of weirdo. I love music." He took drag of his cancer stick, almost forgetting it was there placed in his fingers. "I love singing." He felt it was necessary to add that after he'd said he liked music for some reason.
"What am I into?" He shrugged. "A lot of shit. Mindless Self Indulgence, Evanescence, AC/DC and I guess a bit of Maiden. Any bands you into?" [/blockquote]
