&& you're just a sham, waiting to be discovered like a corpse as it was evelyn's first day at franklin high, it was mandatory that she saw the shrink. she had protected, sure, but she had learned that shouting, screaming, kicking, slapping, punching and even biting people here got you no where. which realy pissed her off. and she wasn't in the greatest of moods to start off with, being forced in this damn place on her twenty-first birthday by her father and her aunt, who was also her step-mother. yeah, her family was pretty screwed up thanks to her aunt lucy. but evelyn knew she couldn't change anything. all that she was, well, she was just pure shit. that's what her father and aunt said, anyway. they called her depression shit. they called hr figure shit, they called her anorexia shit and they even called her self harm shit, too. but evelyn had came to a decision long ago, her aunt and father resented her for having such a loving mother. and even the fact that she was in a coma couldn't, and wouldn't, stop that love bond between mother and daughter.
sighing to herself, evelyn forgot all of her worries on her mind, or at least tried to, as she was next for the shrink and from past experiences evelyn knew not to see one when she was worried or stressed about a situation. they usually made everything worse.
glancing around, evelyn spotted a mirror and even though she made a face of disgust, pulled herself up from the comfy leather armchair she was currently sitting in, and looked at herself in the mirrors reflection. her hair was tussled, well, tussled would be a nice word for it, messy, distugsting and greasy would be words more appropriate. still, she liked her pink hair, it was further away from her mothers black hair, which was her natural colour and her fathers horrible light blonde hair. looking back into the mirror, evelyn glared at the deep bags underneath her dark brown eyes. she had always hated her eye colour, anyway, too much like her fathers, she'd always said. and it wasn't as if her father was anything good in her life. not that he was in her life anymore now that she was here, but really, when she thought about it, he infulenced her life. considering she was here because of him. not wanting to think about it any longer, evelyn tore her gaze away from the mirror, which was really making her feel fat and alike crap.
she looked around the room once more, being bored out of her skull with the simplicity of the design around her. white, white and more white. seating herself down on the leather armchair once more, evelyn drifted off into her own little world, thinking about her mother, father, step-mother and her family in general. cause i fear i might break and i fear i can't take it
juno sat up straight as her alarm went off. looking at the small hands on the clock, she groaned as she saw it was half eight. her hand slammed down on top of the clock, stopping the alarm, and she dragged herself out of her bed. she had an early morning therapy session today, and though she didn't usually go to the stupid things, the staff had been keeping tabs on her and were starting to make her go. probably in an attempt to make me more miserable, she muttered to herself.
she couldn't remember what her therapy sessions were actually for, whether t was getting her off drugs, alcohol or nicotine, or it could be something completely different altogether, like trying to get her to open up about her past to see exactly where things had started to go wrong. either way, she had no intention of going along with it, and only went to keep the taff off her back so she could smoke in peace.
looking at her clothes, she pulled out a black and white t shirt, and a pair of black skinny jeans. she didn't feel like getting dressed up to go to therapy when she planned on going back to d straight after. the night before had been pretty fun, and she hadn't actually got more than an hour or so sleep yet. a quick glance in her mirror showed her that her hair as pretty out of control, and so she brushed it, and tied it into a messy side ponytail. a quick dab of make up and she left the room.
completely avoiding the canteen room and the smells of breakfast, she lit a cigarette and made her way to the therapy area. pushing open the door, juno made a small noise of disgust. the waiting area outside the few therapy rooms was white, with white, white and more white. juno stood out, with her red hair and black jeans, and the small cloud of smoke rising from between her fingers.
juno leaned against the white of the wall, and took a drag. there was a girl sitting on one of the leather armchairs. the word girl was used lightly, as she was clearly older than juno. she didn't look too good, though many of the patients about to go into therapy didn't. juno didn't ever remember seeing her around before, and juno had seen pretty much every patient around.
'hey chickie. i'm juno.' she introduced herself to be polite, but this girl seemed pretty cool.

&& you're just a sham, waiting to be discovered like a corpse she was still thinking about her family in general as a girl came into the room. and eve used the word girl to good use, noticing that she was much younger than herself. the girl was wearing a black and white striped top and a pair of black skinny jeans, a good sense of style and eve approved of her. there was just...something about the girl that made eve want to talk, speaking as it were, was hard for eve at this particular time. s really, she had no idea why they were sending her in for a session when she wouldn't even talk. there really was no point at all.
eve smiled as the girl introduced herself, her name being juno. which was a nice name which made eve approve of her even more than before. plus, her hair was awesome. which showed a lot about her personality, well, eve thought so anyway. and the fact she'd made the time to actually introduce herself, too.
"i'm evelyn, nice to meet you, juno." she smiled at the girl and reclined on her armchair. [/blockquote]

juno smiled at the girl, and took another puff of the cigarette held between her fingers. the girl, well, woman would probably be more appropriate, seemed pretty okay, and as juno had never seen her before, she assumed she was new to franklin high.
'you new here?' it seemed to make sense to ask, however sure juno was, it never hurt to check. 'it sucks, right?' any small conversation was better than silence, in juno's opinion. silence usually made juno uncomfortable, as she was quite a loud person. and if evelyn was new, then juno wanted to at least try and get to know her before she fell in too deep with the whole clique thing. juno wasn't bothered by different cliques, but she usually did try and stick to them. usually and try being the operative words in that sentence. juno didn't like to play by the rules, as, after all, they were made to be broken.
'do you mind if i call you eve? only my voice is lazy.' it didn't make much sense to juno, saying that her voice was lazy, but most things juno said made little sense. she looked over eve again. she had pink hair, pretty bright. in juno's opinion, eve looked a bit like a doll, though not in a bad way. she was pretty. she didn't really look like a crazy patient, but juno knew you couldn't judge a book by it's cover.

&& you're just a sham, waiting to be discovered like a corpse eve lifted her head as the girl, juno said something about being new. well, not saying, asking about eve being new. she wondered if it was obvious that she'd just came here. her mind told her, probably, as her hair colour would stand out in a crowd of thousands. sighing to herself, eve nodded slowly and opened her mouth, replying to juno. "yeah." eve pulled a lock of her hair in front of her face, trying to see it. and of course she could, considering the length her hair was now. "is it that obvious?" eve dropped her hair and looked at a potted plant near to juno.
eve couldn't help but laugh as juno opened her mouth again and spoke. "yup." eve looked from the potted plant to juno in one swift movement. "it sure is."
she looked back down at the potted plant, but juno asked her a question again, obviously the girl didn't like silence. although, neither did eve. "yeah, loads of people call me that anyway." she smiled at juno and then pondered over asking her how she'd gotten in here, as juno looked pretty normal. but then again, many people here looked normal, felt normal? well, that was a different question and a different answer, too.
eventually, eve got the will to ask her how she'd became a patient, so eve did. "how did you get here anyways?" something in her mind felt like it wouldn't be great, well, from her experience, no one here had a nice, loving story, eve included. not that anyone knew her story, yet, that is. juno laughed. 'obvious? yeah, pretty much. i'm guessing you don't exactly fade into the background.' she smiled as she said it, not intending it to be taken as an insult. eve had pretty hair, and it was a nice colour, it suited her. juno noticed eve didn't really look at her, so she obviously was slightly nervous, or something similar. putting her cigarette to her lips, juno tried to remember if she'd been nervous when she first got here. probably not.
'how did i get here? that can either be a long story, or a short story. i'll go with the short one.' she put the cigarette back to her lips and took a drag before continuing. 'well, i got in with the wrong crowd, as you do. started drinking, underage sex, and i got into drugs in a big way. i only got caught when i tried to kill someone though.' she said the whole thing rather calmly, but then again, her story had been on the news, as the man she tried to kill had ended up with a huge knife sticking out of his shoulder and had been in a critical condition for a while. juno may be a crazy druggie, but she wasn't a murderer, and didn't think she'd be able to have murder on her conscience. attempted murder, yes.
'i got here and started smoking more too. so far, i'm still on drugs, i still drink, and i still smoke. therapy sucks, don't worry about it. they don't do anything.' she supposed she was trying to almost reassure eve, though she didn't know why. eve seemed pretty cool though, and juno was nice enough to talk to her. 'how about you?' everyone at franklin high had a story, and juno guessed eve was no different.
